Farewell Flossy

In the corner of a grassy field,
Flossy stood alone.
She gazed across the pleasant land,
That for years had been like home.

She couldn't help but reminisce,
On all the times she'd had,
And all the other sheep she'd met;
To leave them would be sad.

Then one by one they slowly came.
The whole flock did amass.
There before them Flossy stood,
Somewhat sheepish on the grass.

'Farewell to you Flossy',
The whole flock said as one.
'We hoped that you would never leave,
But now that day has come.'

'So go with our best wishes.
The choice you've made is right.
Whatever's waiting down the track,
Your future will be bright.'

'May new friends be aplenty,
May old friends meet you hence.
May the grass be always greener,
On your new side of the fence.'
